I changed my contacts name
I was waking up and doing the thing that you’re not supposed to: looking at my phone. Not so much doomscrolling but maybe catching up with texts.
I didn’t have anything to catch up to so, as I do lately, I started going through my chat list to see how I feel about the people, the photos, our last interaction, how long it was.
Today I looked at one thing I haven’t thought of, that I know young people do: how my contact’s names display for me. I never quite got how to handle that for things like when you share a contact it goes with the name you chose for them and that may not be that clear to the contact recipient.
Anyways, I looked at their names, most of which I probably saved decades ago in whatever format we had back then. Some had full names, others had their chosen names, other I changed before and have switch back when I shared with others.
Today I felt like these people, my most contacted contacts, should be there by first name. Those who share first names (just 2 in my case) will get an extra letter for surname or sth like that.
The list looks cleaner and I feel closer to my most contacted contacts.
